Hello, friends! Thank you for stopping in to visit today! Mother's Day is a wink away, so today I am sharing a mock setting for tea or brunch as inspiration for this Sunday's festivities. I hope you enjoy the post!
I began the setting in my favorite corner of the garden, with a large planter of flowers set catty-corner at the end of the table.
I love the detail of this tablecloth, with its whimsical tea kettles and plates of blue, white, and soft grey.
Uncomplicated white plates,
delicate lace-edged napkins folded to show their detail, and dainty pastry forks
were followed by teacups and saucers
of very fine bone china. I love the feel of these in my hands.....they are so delicate; almost paper-thin!

paired with a creamer and sugar in simple white complete the tea service.
Keeping the urn at the very end of the table,
and setting this table with a few simple flowers with no centerpiece, enhances the ability to converse with loved ones.
Brunch for me isn't complete without something savory and something sweet. For brunch, quiche and soufflé are among my favorites!
