Signs of Summer

Hello, friends..........

Summer is almost here....there are signs all around.
A stroll through my garden reveals much beauty to be found.

The vines are so lush, with the promise of soon fruit,

Grapevines

whilst the flowers and trees have all followed suit.

African Iris (Dietes Vegeta)

Guara Lindheimeri Gaudi Red (Whirling Butterfiles)

White African Lily (Agapanthus Africanus)

African Lily (Agapanthus Africanus)

Inticancha Dark Purple Peruvian Lily (Alstroemeria)

Sago Palm, Male

Privet Trees (Ligustrum Lucidum)

Bringing a pop of color, citrus, flowers, and fruit come indoors,

Yellow Roses and Green Mini Button Pom (Yoko Ono Poms)

or folks in pontoons who go floating from shore to shore.

An almost crystal sky of wonderful blue;

shimmer on the water offers a magnificent view.

  2. I love agapanthus. Right now I have hydrangeas, coreopsis, and 2 pots of vegetables. When I get home from helping out my daughter, I want to get a pretty succulent with a flower that i can't think of the name right now! Joan

  3. So beautiful! I have never heard of an African Iris. I love Agapanthus and just bought a couple to plant in two of my urns. They are just an annual here. Thanks for sharing with SYC.

    1. Same here...I only have flowers when it's moderately warm to very hot...they seem to thrive here in our sunny weather, and I love the pretty little petals! Thank you for hosting! :)
