First, I wanted to create a festive planter. My column which is usually in the mulch of the entryway provided a little bit of height.

Next, I decorated my doors with premade patriotic garden hats. I like these hats because they remind me of Spring, but they could also be used in the Summertime as well.

To each and every person who has served, has lost a loved one in service, God Bless, and I thank and honor you from the bottom of my heart.
Are you planning anything special for this memorial day?

Wow! What a lovely doorway to your home, and your decorations for Memorial Day are darling. Love the hats, and the urn is very pretty. Hope you are having a great week! Bess
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, you too, Bess!
DeleteYour entry way looks festive yet dignified. We've had a bbq for the last two years on Memorial Day, but I think it's going to be too chilly this year. My dad was in the Air Force so Memorial Day growing up was a day of remembrance and respect more than parties. That's nice your boys are placing the flags at the cemetery.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Nora, and thank you to your father for his service! :)
DeleteThis is all so pretty! I don't have much red white and blue and some friends just gave me trouble over that! Maybe I can borrow theirs!
ReplyDeleteI have been working on my Dad's life story and he served in WWII, so I have some special feelings in my heart this Memorial Day. I found a letter from one of his buddies listing different members of their company that had died and another of his saying that he had gone to two of the families to visit after their sons had died since he had been injured also and sent home to recoup. Those kinds of things touch the soul!
Have a lovely Memorial Day.
There are tears in my eyes as I read this, thank you so much for sharing, God bless! What a beautiful daughter you are, I'm sure your father must be just as proud to be your father as you are to be his daughter!
DeleteOh how pretty and what a great tribute to our brave soldiers. Love your door, love the hats!...Christine
ReplyDeleteThank you, Christine! Enjoy your weekend, and that FAB table you set!! :)
