We have had some warm weather, but it is expected to rain the rest of the week. When there is a substantial chance of rain in the forecast like this week, it's a perfect time for putting down new sod, planting fresh flowers, and et cetera. Today's post is a quick update of my planter at the top of the hill in my yard. I hope you enjoy the post!
The before: YIKES! And, YIKES!
I began by removing most of the foliage from the prior plants. I made sure the drip line was positioned correctly.
I am a huge fan of color contrast! Choosing pretty flowers showcasing rich green and pretty purple
along with the dramatic color of sweet potato vines
is the perfect juxtaposition against the stone of the planter.
Also, I love the contrast of a less refined, more wild-looking arrangement with the elegant fluted lines of the planter. Next, I added an ample amount of potting soil and watered generously. Now, I just need to refresh the mulch underneath. Easy!
Are you out in your garden, weather permitting?
