Easton Neston Estate

Hello, friends, and thank you so much for stopping in to visit!

The weather has again become uncooperative, a bit gloomy, overcast, and starting to drizzle, which hinders the tasks I want to complete outside.  It does, however give me a leg-up on getting Spring Cleaning started.  I know.  How dull and mundane!  Today, I am going to relish in a gorgeous tour of a fabulous English country house known as Easton Neston.  I hope you'll join me!

Easton Neston is a glorious English country house located near Towcester, Northamptonshire.  The estate, originally built in 1702 by Nicholas Hawksmoor, has generated plenty of buzz in the last few years due to its renovation by Leon Max.  Leon Max is situated comfortably at the helm of the fashion chain Max Studio, his brainchild, which he founded in 1979.  Max acquired the fire-damaged property in 2005 from Baron Hesketh, and took his time renovating it, throwing a party in honor of its completion in July of 2011.

Proprietor Leon Max and his wife Yano Boyko, as recently seen on the W Magazine website.

In addition to the glorious gardens,

the property boasts rooms and halls of grandeur, graciously appointed with beautiful Georgian antiques.  To see the full slide show, you may visit the article in Architectural Digest here.

Upon its completion, a short documentary, The Country House Revealed hosted by Dan Cruickshank, was published by BBC.  You can order it on Amazon, or check KCET or your local public broadcasting channel for future airings.  Isn't this gorgeous?  The drawing room.

Until next time........
