It is very late February, and finally there are small signs of life in the garden and yard!
darling lovelies stretch to be warmed by the sporadic sun.
Proud roses
have opened, gracing the garden with their aromatic charm.
My hardier friends who remain year-round,
look on, smugly assured. They've seen this before.
Are there signs of Spring where you reside?

OK, I was sure these were past photos! They can't be current can they? I am so jealous. I do have 2 daffodils that have opened up but the rest of the world is brown and ugly.
ReplyDeleteHow pretty - makes me want spring even more!
Thank you, Jacqueline!! No, these were shot just yesterday in the late afternoon! We've had lots and lots of rain here in Southern California, but this past week has been surprisingly lovely. Don't be too jealous, though, it's expected to pour all weekend and into next week. Losing a garden during winter can be so frustrating and disheartening. Sending some cheer your way, hopefully it'll be Spring soon!
DeleteWe seem to all be thinking alike. Can't wait for spring! Love all the beauty popping up around you!

Oooh, I can´t wait! My bulbs have just popped up and spring is on the threshold. But this kind of blossom seems far away right now. Gorgeous photos of all the beauty in your garden.
