Set Your Table With Flair--Cocoa, Coffee and Spritzen For Saint Nick

Hello, Friends!  Thank you very much for taking time out of this busy season to take a peek at my blog.

Along with singing, cooking, celebrating family, praying, every year, my family and I also practice the fun tradition of leaving cookies and milk out for Santa.  My kiddos love it!  In today's post, I am sharing a simple set-up idea for Saint Nick.  I hope you enjoy the post.

First, I laid a foundation of festive fabric.  I love this snowflake design!

My traditional tray came next.  I've used this platter ever since I got it as part of a promotion from Neiman's a couple years ago.  I love the reindeer who dance merrily around the platter.

A simple dish filled with my favorite cookies of the season, Spritz, is set upon the platter.

If you would like to view my recipe for Spritz done seven ways, you may visit the post on my blog Parsimonious Pabulum here

What is better than hot cocoa during the cold holiday season?

If Santa has been on a long journey by the time he reaches your home, he might prefer coffee.  If you'd like to view my recipes to 'kick up' your Kerig coffee, visit the post on Parsimonious Pabulum hereThe recipes are also great for holiday entertaining!

To top the cocoa, a peppermint stirrer (lollipop) shaped like a Christmas tree.

Sometimes mommy stays up and enjoys a cup with Santa.  ;)

A few more shots.

Happy Holidays!

  1. The tray is really cute with the reindeer prancing around the edge. Those Christmas trees on a stick are cute too and would look pretty in a cup of hot chocolate. Thanks for stopping by for tea and Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones!

    Blessings,

  3. I'm going to try to muster up the physical strength to do a little cookie baking this weekend. I hate feeling bad and not being able to do the things I would normally be doing!!! My plan is to make up freezable cookie dough and wrap it real fancy for my neighbors. That way, they can bake them up fresh over the winter when we're all snowed in!

Your cookies are pretty, and a good spritz is just what we all need this time of year! Move over, Santa....I'm hungry!!!

Merry Christmas to you and your family!
